Lenten Season 2023
Dear BurbankPres,
We know one of the most vital moments for any congregation going through transition is to remain faithful to the call to serve Jesus and to be faithful to his mission in the world. One of the ways we do that together is through key moments liturgically throughout the year.
Join us this coming Wednesday night at 7:00 PM for an Ash Wednesday service located in the Fireside room of our church. We know Ash Wednesday is the start of the Lenten season and is 46 days before Easter Sunday. An Ash Wednesday service often includes reflection, prayer, scripture readings, worship, and the imposition of Ashes at the end of the service. It is an opportunity to reflect on the journey that Jesus walked to the cross. It is something that we lean into, we learn from, and most of all that grounds us in moments of change, transition, and that gives us an overabundance of hope.
Continue to pray for our leaders and our interim pastor search committee, as they continue to discern how and who God is calling to help lead us forward as a faith community centered in Christ. If you need pastoral care or have additional questions, please contact the church office through email at info@burbankpres.org or call the church office at 818-842-5103.
Peace,
BurbankPres Church Office
